What is your donor transparency policy?
The Allbritton Journalism Institute is committed to transparency about our organization’s funding.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we accept gifts, grants and sponsorships from individuals, organizations and foundations.
We will make public all revenue sources and donors who give $5,000 or more per year. As a nonpartisan nonprofit, we avoid accepting charitable donations from government entities, political parties, elected officials or candidates seeking public office.
We will not accept donations from sources who, as deemed by our board of directors, present a conflict of interest with our work or compromise our independence.
Is this donation tax-deductible?
Yes. The Allbritton Journalism Institute is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and as such, donations to our organization qualify for a tax deduction, as permitted by law. To learn more about what that means for you, we recommend checking with your tax adviser, accountant or the IRS.
If you plan to claim this donation on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record, which we will send following a donation of any size.
