Support
Thank you for considering a donation to the Allbritton Journalism Institute, a nonpartisan nonprofit creating opportunities for the great political journalists of the future as they do essential work today.
Our fellows come from all across the country — from small towns, from religious colleges, from the military, from families who are far removed from the Beltway bubble.
We teach them to report accurately, fairly and in a proudly nonpartisan way. Working for the next-gen newsroom, NOTUS, AJI fellows earn a full-time salary and receive benefits as they bring their life experiences and perspectives to their work — but not their biases.
The result: These reporters find and tell stories that others don’t, working alongside veteran reporters and editors. They reach millions of people each month through the NOTUS website and daily newsletter, frequent citation and republication in local and national media, as well as regular appearances on CNN, MS NOW, PBS, NPR, NewsNation, Fox News, SiriusXM radio and podcasts from Apple and The Ringer.
FAQ
What is your donor transparency policy?
The Allbritton Journalism Institute is committed to transparency about our organization’s funding.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we accept gifts, grants and sponsorships from individuals, organizations and foundations to help with our general operations, coverage of specific topics and special projects.
Any and all editorial judgments are made independently — not based on or influenced by donors or any revenue source. We do not give supporters the right to assign, review or edit content.
We will make public all revenue sources and donors who give $5,000 or more per year. As a nonpartisan news nonprofit, we avoid accepting charitable donations from government entities, political parties, elected officials or candidates seeking public office.
We will not accept donations from sources who, deemed by our board of directors, present a conflict of interest with our work or compromise our independence.
